Work on The Riverlink Building, a key part of the $9.92m second component of The Levee Development, commenced on Monday 24 October 2016. The project costs are being met through grant funding from the NSW Government Restart NSW Resources for Regions program.

The new Riverlink Building, scheduled for completion by the end of 2017, will connect High Street to the banks of the Hunter River. It will also see the creation of public open space, public art, new amenities and a café.

There is a lot of work to do between now and when the project is completed, however the end product will be an incredible space that adds to the range of leisure options already available in Central Maitland.

Graph Building (Graph) has been contracted to deliver the project on behalf of Council, who will work closely with them to ensure that construction is completed successfully with minimal disruption to traders and building owners within The Levee Shared Zone.
