Dragonfly Foods are set to move into their new home at The Hatch in The Levee Shared Zone, starting as permanent tenants this Saturday 1 April 2017.
Dragonfly Foods, which began operating in 2005, sells a seasonal rotation of sweet and savoury products including meringue, panna cotta, gourmet marshmallow, granola/yoghurt cups, brioche, croissants, gourmet rocky road, tortes, ice pops, gourmet ice creams, custards and puddings. They also offer an assortment of lunch bagels, cheese platters, fresh pressed juices, gourmet teas, cold brew coffee, and iced tea.
Owner of Dragonfly Foods Helen Duck says, ‘Being able to set up permanently in The Hatch is a huge step forward for our business. I’m really excited about the opportunity to expand our range and showcase some new flavour combinations and techniques.’
Dragonfly Foods were selected by Council following an Expression of Interest process and they are now set to add to the growing diversity of businesses now at The Levee.
Council’s City Economy Officer Andrew Brown says, ‘This is an exciting time for Dragonfly Foods and for Central Maitland. They put forward a strong application and we believe the business is in a great position to set up in The Hatch. They sell quality products and they will bring a fresh presence to the hustle and bustle of Central Maitland.’
The Levee continues to offer a great mix of retail, entertainment and dining options, with a blend of small business and national retail stores. Dragonfly Foods is a welcome addition to the precinct as Central Maitland continues to thrive as the city’s most popular place to visit for local shoppers.
